- I am excited.
- I just watched a very interesting video lecture, given by Dr. Robert Bussard.
- Basically, how do you imagine a world with almost unlimited power supply, which is very cheap?
- According to the lecturer and some other physics, humanity is only 5 years from obtaining the holy grail of physics. It is a matter of engineering and 200 mio dollars, the inventors say. Well and so do the investment-consulting firms.
- Over 100 years ago, when Wright brothers first took off, would I believe it would be possible to fly commercially in 20 years? Probably not, but maybe C02 emissions aren't as big as a problem as we would like to believe.
- I have three concerns on this topic: 1. If it is really almost there and the experiments done show it is actually working, why doesn't Bussard have a Nobel prize, and is having a hard time raising the required 200 million $ ? 2. Why is EU and Japan investing over 12 billion EUR into ITER thermal fusion project that doesn't work? 3. Why is all the money that is being spent on decreasing C02 emissions not spent on reducing the source of these emissions?
- Is humanity really so slow to react? Anyway, in my excitement I am reconsidering my stock portfolio...

You are right. Dr. Bussard is not getting the backing he needs to make or break his idea:
Bussard Fusion Reactor
Easy Low Cost No Radiation Fusion
So I have decided to do an end run around the government by designing an open source fusion test reactor.
Any one care to help? You can start here:
